Strike by a bloody arrow
A lonesome heart was
walking in the street trying to find a way to unwind. She met an arrow, wounded and full of blood. The heart got curious and feel pity
for the arrow, so she tried to approach him. Then arrow said “I’m afraid to cross the
street”. Without hesitation heart offered arrow a help. Later on, the two got
engaged into conversation and arrow started to open up to heart. Heart realized
that arrow was not just hurt but a broken pieces of arrow too. Days went by and
they got closer and closer to each other. They seemed to get along pretty well. Both
were sharing delighted moments, exciting thoughts, like they've been friends for a
long time. A sudden gaiety and
excitement they felt whenever they were together. Heart no longer felt
solitary but the next thing she knew, she
was struck by the arrow. It was distressing but she endured the pain.
One day, heart woke up full of blood and was wounded. She felt appalled and bewildered. When she looked into the mirror, a mark of the arrow left her. A mark that was too deep which made her almost shattered. She tried to find arrow in every corner of the street where they first met but ended up nothing.
Heart was ready to give up, she
thought of ending up her every beat but a merciful
hand picked her up. A hand full of compassion and lenience picked
her up. Wiped the blood all over her and made her whole again. Heart expressed her utmost gratitude to the hand who cured and helped bring back her normal beating. Only
then she realized, she had to move forward.
When
heart stared back into the mirror, the only thing remained were scars. Scars that made her impregnable.
Heart faced the future without any trace of remorse, mistakes and
melancholy. She knew at some point she was given a choice and she chose to be
hurt than feel nothing at all. She has learned to forgive herself. Most
significantly, she forgave arrow and still wished him the best of luck. Heart knew her every beat is counted and keeping
resentment is just a waste of time.
